In your automation software or dedicated encoder, select "SHOUTcast" (version 2, if available) and encode the settings you will find in your shoutcast radiomanager interface (via the settings page):
- Your streaming URL
- Your port
- Your stream ID
- Your Stream password
Important: When setting your stream password in the RMO, do not include any colon or hash characters (: or #) in the password. See below for the reason why.
Legacy Shoutcast v1 encoders do not have the Stream ID field. If your encoder doesn't have a Shoutcast v2 option, you will need to fill out your password field then add ":#" and your Stream ID (after the password).
